Today’s post is brought to you by SellerAmp.
SellerAmp is my go-to Amazon FBA product research tool. It instantly gives you data on price, demand, and competition to ensure you make the right decisions on profitable products.
I have personally utilized SellerAmp to make buying decisions for hundreds of thousands of dollars of inventory, and tons of sellers I work with daily trust it to help them run a profitable Amazon reselling business.
Here’s a picture of it in action, while I was scanning clearance sneakers at an Adidas outlet. All I had to do was scan the barcode and it immediately told me what the item was, how many times it sold per month, how much competition was on the listing and how profitable the item is, after Amazon fees.
It’s truly a must-have.
Not only can you thank SellerAmp for making this post free for everyone to read, but you can actually try it free for 14 days when you sign up today.
A Quick Note: Due to the extensive nature of this topic, we spent hours researching and laying our resources to help your reselling endeavors. As such, this post went a little long.

I do a lot of things to automate my reselling.
I have a team posting dozens of profitable items leads every single day.
I have autocheckout botters using their software to purchase profitable items for me, while I never click a button.
I have a prep center inspect, prepare and ship all my orders for me, all while never paying a cent in sales tax.
You should be doing all these too.
But, here’s another secret weapon you probably haven’t thought to utilize to automate and improve your reselling:
AI.
Yes, I am as sick of reading the latest “3 AI Tips & Tricks” articles as you probably are too.
But.. this is different.
This isn’t about some integration to write better copy or to tell you fun facts.
This is all about making you more money in less time by utilizing AI into your reselling efforts.
Heres 6 different ways you can use AI in your reselling business.
Customer Support
No, Chat GPT will no be directly answering questions on the Amazon or eBay seller apps for you… but they may let someone else do it for you.
If you currently have a virtual assistant (VA), that VA can utilize Chat GPT to answer majority of Amazon and eBay-related questions, simply by typing or rephrasing the customer’s inquiry into Chat GPT. This way, the VA won’t have to ask you to answer these questions and take away your valuable time.
Here’s an example:
The Prompt:
The Response:
You no longer have to respond to most customer inquiries if you have a VA - no matter how competent (or incompetent) they are. Day 1 on the job, they can simply allow Chat GPT to handle all the heavy lifting and you can go on with your day with zero interruptions.
Inventory & Order Management
If you’re already an established seller, there’s a good chance you use InventoryLab or SellerBoard.
But, what if you’re new to selling, tech-savvy and want to save on some fees?
Introducing Zapier.
No, Zapier is not actually “AI”, but it DOES integrate with Chat GPT and many other AI platforms. Plus, even though it doesn’t fit the definition of AI… it may as well be, thanks to the millions of incredible computational and automation feats it can accomplish.
Zapier is essentially a giant “if-then” software that can link together thousands of commonly used websites and applications to create automatic rules based on inputs you make.
If you get a customer on Gumroad, Zapier can automatically populate their information into a Google Sheet for you… and send them a text… or an email…. or a welcome message in Discord…. or a welcome message in Slack…
Zapier can even connect with IgnitePost to send every one of your Amazon customers a handwritten thank-you card.
Kinda like this:
But, if you want to be less cheeky but more practical with it, here’s how we will use it for a better inventory management system.
Here’s what you do:
Create a Google Sheet for tracking inventory
Create a Zapier account
Create a Zap linking Amazon SellerCentral to that Google Sheet
Create a rule that, whenever the inventory of one of your listings reaches 0, the title of that listing will populate under a column titled “Review For Restock.”
This will give you a real-time update of every item you have which sold out and remind you to look at the lead again to see if you want to reorder more of the same item to sell again, or if it is no longer a winner.
Kinda like this:
Thanks to a few simple integrations, you can have a fully-automated inventory management system with a few clicks of a button.
Repricing
This has been one of my most exciting recent additions to the arsenal of technologies I use to stay ahead of competition.
Repricing has always been an integrating part of an advanced seller’s profitability, but - until recently - most sellers were working with the same tools and it was simply a matter of who was better at using them.
If those old tools were a pocket knife, I now have a bazooka.
For the unfamiliar, a Repricer is a tool designed to automatically adjust the prices of products listed on Amazon based on predefined rules and algorithms. The aim is to win the coveted “Buy Box”, increase sales velocity, and maximize profits. A Repricer continuously monitors competitors' prices, market conditions, and other relevant factors to dynamically adjust prices, ensuring sellers stay competitive in real-time.
Less-advanced repricers often act on very simply rules-based automations which don’t actually maximize sales or profits. They may simply operate on a rule such as “always price my listing 1 cent below the current lowest price”, which simply results in a race to the bottom of prices for sellers who don’t know any better.
Using AI to reprice my listings
I recently started using SellerSnap: A Repricer that is AI-powered, rather than based on simplistic pricing models such as “always be the lowest price.”
SellerSnap utilizes AI in several ways to ensure I get more sales at higher prices. Here’s a few ways they do it:
AI-Powered Intelligent Repricing
By leveraging machine learning algorithms, SellerSnap’s AI analyzes vast amounts of data to make smart pricing decisions. It considers multiple variables, including competitor pricing, historical sales data, inventory levels, and performance metrics to optimize my prices for maximum profitability.
Competitor Insights
SellerSnap provides valuable competitor insights that inform its overall pricing strategy for my listings. It gains visibility into competitors' pricing trends, tracks their performance, and adjust my pricing strategy accordingly. Rather than employing basic “if-then” functions, SellerSnap is based on actual game theory - which ultimately makes it seems like I am a computer playing chess against other sellers who are second graders. They don’t stand a chance.
Advanced Profit Protection
Sellers need to protect their profit margins, and SellerSnap understands this crucial aspect. The tool incorporates sophisticated profit protection algorithms that factor in various costs, such as Amazon fees, shipping expenses, and other seller-specific costs. This ensures that repricing decisions are aligned with your desired profit goals.

Multilingual Support:
As you scale on Amazon, you will likely begin to sell on marketplaces outside of your home country. As an American raised in an ethnocentric culture which put little emphasis on the learning of any language other than English. As such, I am wholly unequipped to support questions and requests from buyers in countries where English is not the primary language.
You could skate by using Google Translate but, as we all know, some things get lost in translation when formulating a response from English into another language.
However, Chat GPT avoids these pitfalls.
I can get Chat GPT to translate a question for me and then tell it to answer that exact question in the customer’s native language.
Here’s what that looks like:
The Prompt:
The Response:
Yeah… there was no way I was going to be able to create that quality of an answer using Google Translate… and, thanks to Chat GPT, I didn’t even have to think of one at all.
Bonus: Doing Things You’ve Never Thought Of
I once heard Sam Parr say “Ask a better question, get a better answer”… and I LOVE that quote.
However, sometimes you don’t even know what question you’re supposed to ask to get the answer you’re looking for. This is 10x as true when dealing with Chat GPT, whose output is wholly dependent on the quality of your prompt.
I was recently put on to an incredible company called Snack Prompt.
Snack Prompt highlights the best Chat GPT prompts that you can utilize, with custom templates that you can autofill, to make as effective as possible for you
Here’s an example:
The Prompt
The Response:
While this is not reseller-specific, you can see the massive scale and impact this tool could have on reseller activity in the coming months and years, as it is essentially an open-source AI toolbox for digital creators.
I truly believe Snack Prompt will be revolutionary for digital creators and - by extension - resellers.
Conclusion
Reselling can already be confusing to new sellers. Even though there are tools such as reselling communities and Seller Amp that help make it as easy as possible, there is still a ton to learn.
However, for the more advanced reseller, you need to look into AI to see what competitive advantage it can give to your reselling efforts.
Whether you like it or not, AI is undoubtedly the future.
You may already be the first one to get there, rather than play catchup in a few years.
